Tomodachi Life is a simulation game developed by Nintendo for the 3DS and 2DS handheld devices. You start by creating Mii characters and customizing everything about them. Then you can recreate your best friend, your favorite actor, mom and dad, co-workers, whoever. Then it’s time to watch them all react — friends, family, celebrities and all. They’ll rap, rock, eat, fall in love, break up, play games, and live their crazy Mii lives.

Jun 05, 2014 Tomodachi Life is a life simulation game for Nintendo 3DS. Welcome to your own island that you can arrange as you like and build an earth paradise of your dreams! Download Tomodachi Life to your 3DS, and you’ll always have a perfect place for your vacation. Tomodachi Life takes place on an island, which you name at the beginning of the game. The first buildings on the island are the Mii Apartments, Beach, Town Hall, and the Food Mart.
By completing certain tasks in Tomodachi Life you can unlock new areas around the island to explore. While there aren’t any “cheats” per se to quickly unlock these areas, below are the requirements you must meet to unlock them in your game.

| Compatibility Tester | Have 2 male and 2 female islanders, and solve 30 problems. |
| Concert Hall | Give a song to an islander who has leveled up. |
| Hat Shop | Have 2 male and 2 female islanders, and solve 10 problems |
| Import Wear Shop | Communicate via StreetPass or receive an import item via SpotPass. |
| Interiors Shop | Save over $200. |
| Mii Homes | Celebrate an islander wedding. |
| Nintendo 3DS Image Share | Take a photo of a Mii’s apartment using X or Y. |
| Observation Tower | Get a gift to an islander who has leveled up. |
| Park | Have an islander confess his or her love. |
| Pawn Shop | Get 5 different treasures. |
| Photo Studio | Have 10 or more islanders, and solve 50 problems. |
| Port | Activate StreetPass. |
| Rankings Board | Have 5 or more islanders and solve 15 problems. |

Note
- If you purchased the digital version of Tomodachi Life, there is no need to apply the Ver. 1.1 software update.
- Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
- After downloading the update, please do not delete the update data. Update data can be viewed in the Downloadable Content area of the Data Management menu.
Complete these steps
- Perform a system update to ensure that you have the most up-to-date version.
- Scan the QR Code pattern below using a Nintendo 3DS system while connected to the Internet.
- Alternatively, you can download the update from the Nintendo 3DS HOME menu.
- Select the Tomodachi Life Update and download it. Once the download is complete, the update will automatically be applied.
- Once the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.
